In the 2021 FIBA Women’s European Basketball Championship final, Serbia became the champion by beating France 63-54. Completing the first quarter of the match played in Valencia, Spain with a 14-11 superiority, Serbia entered the halftime lead 31-26.
Maintaining its score advantage in the second half, Serbia won the match 63-54, in which it was ahead with a score of 48-40 in the third period and reached the championship. Yvonne Anderson had 18 points, 4 assists, Jelena Brooks 15 points, 5 rebounds, Sonja Vasic 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in Serbia. In France, Valeriane Vukosavljevic’s 15 points and Marine Johannes’ 13 points could not prevent the defeat.
Thus, Serbia won its second title after 2015. France, on the other hand, was defeated in the 5th consecutive final.
