Expressing that they had a good win, Larkin said, “Obviously, we wanted to respond in the best way to what happened the previous day. I think we made a great effort in defense to win, we shared the ball on offense and we won an important match as a team.
It’s basketball, anything can happen on the court, but you don’t want those things to happen off the court. Yet what happened has brought us even closer. We spent the whole night together. We talked about everything. Obviously, such a thing is never acceptable, but I think it will have a positive effect in the long run. We took the field today and responded in the best way possible.
The match against Spain will definitely be a very important match. We came here to win the group and frankly we want to stay in the last 16 teams as the leader of the group. It’s a tough team, but you know it’s a tournament. Any team, any player, it doesn’t matter.”
