Yukatel Merkezefendi Municipality is experiencing joy, beating Frutti Extra Bursaspor 74-71 in the second match of the Basketball Super League, reaching their first victory in the league.
Head coach Zafer Aktaş said in a statement that they got their first win by performing well in front of the audience.
Emphasizing that they have a good team, Aktaş said:
“We think that we are worthy of the Super League with our audience, the team we created this year, and our management. We got our first win, I’m proud of my players. We were upset with our turnovers in the first half, but we corrected them in the second half. At the end of the match, we made some mistakes after leading by 10 points. Maybe we could have won more easily, but the effort we showed was very good. We have 28 more challenging games. We want to win as many games as we can. Finally, we want to be permanent in our first year. We will achieve this with our audience, our team and our management.”
The Denizli team, which lost 94-93 away to Anadolu Efes in the first week match, will be the guest of Gaziantep Basketball in the third week match to be held on Sunday, October 10th.
