With 15 Pro Bowl appearances and a three-time NFL MVP, Tom Brady is the league’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns; Last month, the 44-year-old announced the end of his historic NFL career.

Tampa Bay GM Jason Licht says the Buccaneers will “leave the lights on” for Tom Brady in case the quarterback ever decides to return to the sport.

Barely a week later, he fueled rumors about his future plans by telling host Jim Gray to “never say never” when asked about playing his 2022 “Let’s Go!” podcast.

“Let’s see what the future holds for us,” Licht said during an appearance on the NFL Network on Tuesday. “We’ll leave the lights on. You always leave a light for guys like Tom Brady.”

Licht is in Indianapolis to take part in the Scouting Combine this week, where he says the team is “trying to get our plans moving forward” without the seven-time Super Bowl winner.

“If that’s the case, we need to move forward,” Licht added.

Licht’s comments sound more upbeat than those of Bucks head coach Bruce Arians, who said he would be “shocked” if he returned, with both ruling out the possibility of a Brady trade.

“This door never closes,” Arian said. “Whenever Tom [Brady] wants to return, he returned. If Tom wants to come back, we will have a lot of money for him.

Arians was asked if the Bucks would grant any request by Brady to move if he wanted to return, to which he replied, “No. Bad business.”

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said Tuesday that he has not received a single call or message from any of his colleagues regarding the trade of quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
