Tom Brady released a statement confirming his retirement from the NFL after 22 seasons, ending a career that saw him win seven Super Bowl titles; Neil Reynolds: “We’ll never see anyone like him again”

Tom Brady will go down in history as the “greatest player of all time” and his performance in the game will never be equaled, says Sky Sports NFL host Neil Reynolds after the seven-time Super Bowl winner retired from the NFL.

This marks the end of an extraordinary career in which he won more Super Bowls (seven) than any team in NFL history and played 10 in total. He was a five-time Super Bowl MVP, a three-time league MVP, and appeared in 15 Pro Bowl tournaments.

Reynolds, referring to heavenly sports news, said, “He will be remembered as the greatest of all time.

“That ‘GOAT’ applies to Tom Brady, and not just in NFL terms. I think you can put him next to Lionel Messi, Muhammad Ali, iconic sports figures.

“If you ask anyone who happens to watch the NFL, do you know Tom Brady?” Yes, they know – they know what he stands for and what he has achieved.

“We will never see anyone like him again. The NFL is so wide open that you can play 10 Super Bowls and win seven… that will never happen again.”

The confirmation of Brady’s decision followed Saturday night’s controversy when multiple reports of Brady’s retirement were denied by the player’s agent and father.

Brady’s company TB12sports originally posted the news of his retirement online, tweeting “7 Super Bowl rings, 5 Super Bowl MVPs, 3 league MVP awards, 22 incredible seasons, thanks for all of that, Tom Brady” and then deleted the tweet, in while the NFL announced his retirement along with a tribute to the 44-year-old.

Reynolds is surprised that Brady chose to end this year with the veteran quarterback having one of his best statistical seasons, but believes it has to do with a desire to spend more time with his family.
