The Women’s Super Cup returns in October after a one-year hiatus, and the countdown to the Super Cup match begins with the launch of the tournament’s new logo.
Returning after a one-year hiatus, the Women’s Super Cup will be played on Friday, October 22, at 21:30 in Turkey, in Valencia, Spain. Women’s EuroLeague 2020-21 champions Russian UMMC Ekaterinburg and last season’s Women’s EuroCup winner Spain’s Valencia BC team will compete in the one-game final.
The new logo was also introduced before the Women’s Super Cup 2021. The new logo brings together visual elements from the Women’s EuroLeague and EuroCup logos.
The event will be hosted by the Pavello Municipal Font de Sant Lluis (La Fonteta), where the final stage of the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2021 was also held last summer.
Spartak Moscow won their first Super Cup in 2009 and repeated their success the following year. Perfumerías Avenida Salamanca was the first Spanish team to win the Women’s Super Cup in 2011, while Spanish UMMC Yekaterinburg won four titles in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2018. The winner of the Women’s Super Cup 2017 was Dynamo Kursk from Russia.
