Yaşar University Basketball Team defeated all 3 opponents in the Women’s Basketball 2nd League group championship matches and advanced to the 1st League.
In the Women’s Basketball 2nd League, held within the scope of the Turkish University Sports Federation Universities Sports League, in which a total of 31 teams participated in the women’s category, Yaşar University team faced the teams of İzmir Katip Çelebi, İzmir Economy and Uşak universities. In the competitions held at Dokuz Eylül University Tınaztepe Campus Sports Hall on 20-21-22 December, Yaşar University won 80-47, İzmir University of Economics 53-47 and Uşak University 55-47 in Aegean derbies. Defeated with 29 points and advanced to the 1st League as the group leader.

Burak Akçay, Sports Activities Manager of Yaşar University Health, Culture and Sports Directorate, said, “Sports culture has an important place in our university.
