Former head coach of Fenerbahçe Beko, Zeljko Obradovic, one of the legendary names of European basketball, signed a 3-year contract with his former club Partizan, with which he had previously agreed.
Zeljko Obradovic, one of the legendary names of European basketball and the former coach of Fenerbahçe Beko, signed a 3-year contract with Partizan. Obradovic re-signed to Partizan after nearly 30 years, where he started his head coaching career.
Making a statement at the signing ceremony, Zeljko Obradovic said, “I want to thank club president Ostoja Mijailovic for this chance. The reason I came back is the deepest feelings I have for Partizan. Now we must all try to bring Partizan back to where it belongs.”
Referring to his plans to join the EuroLeague, the experienced coach said, “Last week, our conversation lasted 2-3 hours and I made my decision. The only thing we are interested in is playing in the EuroLeague. But not only for one year. We want to be an integral part of this organization. Everyone who supports me. “I want to thank you. I don’t think it’s risky business. I can’t wait to start working. The biggest challenge is to build a really competitive team. We have a big job ahead of us, but you can do a lot as long as you want.”
Obradovic; “I can promise to bring Partizan back to where it belongs,” he concluded.
