Boxing schedule for 2022: Errol Spence Jr. vs. Yordenis Ugas, Tyson Fury (c) vs. Dillian Whyte on tap

The boxing world is off to a strong start to the year. And things are only going to be better as we move into the spring and summer months with many of the sport’s biggest stars already slated for their returns to the ring. The year has seen top fighters like Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez and Keith Thurman show they are not slowing down any time soon while some new champions, like Mark Magsayo, were crowned.

Now, superstars like Errol Spence Jr., Gervonta Davis, Tyson Fury, Jermell and Jermall Charlo, and of course, Canelo Alvarez, are all set for returns in the coming months with exciting opponents standing across from them.

Things are starting to heat up as the calendar turns to spring with some big fights on deck in April. Spence is set to make his return in a unification bout with Ugas on April 16 that will see three of the four recognized titles at 147 pounds on the line. The bout is set to take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Plus, the WBC heavyweight champ Fury returns a week later in London when he battles mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte.

Then in May, Alvarez continues his push in the light heavyweight division when he challenges WBA champion Dmitry Bivol for the WBA title in Las Vegas. Alvarez earned undisputed status at 168 pounds last November and apparently has designs on going for the same status at 175 pounds, which could put him on the cusp of being remembered as an all-time great. Bivol is no pushover, however, as the 31-year-old is 19-0 with 11 TKOs in his career.

Below is a running list of boxing main events for 2022.
