Çukurova Basketball Club Mersin Yenişehir Municipality Women’s Basketball Team defeated LDLC Asvel Feminin with a score of 82-68 in the quarter-final second leg of the FIBA Women’s European Cup, and for the first time in its history, succeeded in qualifying for the Final Four. Starting the game in front of approximately 6 thousand spectators, Mersin team displayed a superior game and defeated their strong opponent in the quarter-finals, while Head Coach Aziz Akkaya thanked the fans and athletes who did not leave them alone.
Stating that they showed their willingness to make it to the semi-finals, Aziz Akkaya said, “We played really excellent basketball in the first two quarters, it was incredible.
