Rishabh Pant averages 43.84 in her 21 test caps, reaching three centuries and six fifties. He scored his first test ton at The Oval on the last Indian tour of England in 2018, and his third was in Ahmedabad in March, also against Joe Root’s team.

Rishabh Pant has tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of India’s five-match test series against England that begins on August 4, according to reports.
Pant is part of the India tour currently in England and has been quarantined while the rest of the team gathers in Durham before next week’s warm-up game.
Reports on Pant have not been confirmed by the Indian Cricket Control Board, but the 23-year-old is said to have been in isolation for the past eight days and is asymptomatic.
England had their own issues with Covid-19 recently, having to line up an entirely new ODI team against Pakistan after three players and four support staff tested positive. They won the series 3-0 with a renewed team.
The Indian players have been in England since they lost the World Test Championship final to New Zealand last month. Pant has been seen attending England’s Euro 2020 match against Germany at Wembley ever since, posting photos on his social media accounts.

The rest of the Indian team is now preparing for a three-day game, to be played behind closed doors, against a County Select XI starting Tuesday, as their preparations build up before the start of the test series.
